We’re celebrating the birth of H.P. Lovecraft the short way – with tweets! Send us your Lovecraft-inspired tweets from now until August 15. We’ll choose six winners and publish the entries on our website and tweet them throughout the day of Lovecraft’s birthday (August 20).

Prizes

• First place: $20 CAD
• Second place: $15 CAD
• Third place: $10 CAD
• Three honourable mentions: $5 CAD each

Format

Send a maximum of three tweets in the body of your e-mail (not as an attachment). Each tweet should be a maximum of 140 characters.

Yes, It’s a Cthulhu Ski Mask!

The Great Old Ones have come back and are possessing the populace! That or people are wearing masks to celebrate their coming and the end of all things. Maybe, just maybe, there are horror geeks out there who want to show their love for Cthulhu by wearing this mask. Whose to say? All I know is this was a damn cool project (though something I personally would never wear.)

Words cannot even express how this representation of “Lil Cthulhu” and friends and what he does on his day awake is so cute. I mean it’s disturbingly cute, if only they focused a little more on how he adorably destroys part of Earth it would have been perfect. I do appreciate the throwing in of other lore as well though. Still if you have even the slightest knowledge about Lovecraft’s masterpieces you should get a kick out of this.
