Or: Fabian Glez is a Minimalistic Genius

Fabian has done a lot of fantastic work and I fully suggest checking out his Flickr site if you have a chance (linked at the end of either picture.) In this one he’s taken a lot of the more interesting super heroes and super villains out there and have made a minimalistic view of them.

While it’s an art style that was very over done the last year since it’s comic characters being gone over how could I resist doing a quick post on them?

There isn’t a key on these yet and while I recognize a LOT of them I don’t feel comfortable enough trying to do the list (since I have to leave work in 4 minutes.) However I’ll see if I can put one together tonight!

Periodic Table of Science Fiction

Like everything else, science fiction can be broken down into its constituent elements. When Avatar was discovered in 1803, H. Samuel Cameron knew it would decompose into Exo Squad, Matrix Revolutions, E.T. and Lost in Space atoms. Now you can understand these stoichiometric processes… and become a total sex magnet!!

Now if I thought owning this print would turn me into a total sex magnet for even a second I believe I’d go from being in a relationship to being single in about 30 seconds flat. Don’t worry hon I don’t believe that. I do believe though that for any science fiction loving geek out there this is a quick and fun read over just for the visual joy that anyone took the time to do this (and makes me wonder why I didn’t take the time to do this.)
