…And Will Be Moving Into It In 2ish Months!
So Leah’s just about fully closed on the house she was looking into in Westmont, pretty much just one inspection to go. That being the case it’s officially far enough along to get excited that she will soon be the owner of a house (if it was 1919 this would not mean she was about to have the right to vote)… and because I’m selfish and would never write anything on my site that doesn’t directly involve me – that means I will soon not be living in Chicago. Yes I am going to be moving in soon after (as long as I can hold back sexist comments like the not being able to vote one long enough!)
She’s been planning and prepping for the house purchase for a year and a half so now that it’s all coming together it’s only ‘slightly’ stressful on every little detail she has to finalize. For anyone who hasn’t purchased a house before let me tell you it’s a pain. It’s even more of a pain then when I bought my condo a few couple years back with all of the new laws, regulations, financial issues, and options to save money that are in place. (Totally honest though I’m excited for her, me, us.. it’s a big step and one we’re both looking forward to.)
A year ago it was beyond the realm of possibilities that I would be moving back into the suburbs anytime soon and yet now, probably within 3ish months, I shall be living in sin in Westmont. SIN my friends. I’ll have more details for you later on as everything is still a few months down the line.
I’m pretty sure nothing I can write about this week will top that bit of news! (Note: for those who know Leah and her love of cooking yes that stove in the picture is TINY and it’s being replaced quickly.)
