My 10 Favorite Steve Jobs Humor Pix

I make it no secret that I am not a Mac fanboy. Yes. I own an iPod or 5. That’s it. No iPad. No Macbook Pro. No iProbe. Nothing. Nadda. I’m not a fan of the interface. I’m not a fan of the way settings work. I’m not a fan of the hardware.

Don’t get me wrong.

I fully thing that Apple is great at making things that look pretty. They revolutionized the cell phone market. They made a niche for themselves with tablets (which are still overrated and not practical and will in no way “kill” the PC. Laptops are what are killing the “PC” and how long has that taken?)

Their total cut off on not working with flash was a bit of bullshit though. Adobe is one of the few companies that helped Mac stay afloat during their years of utter shit. Seriously if anyone is going to argue that for years it wasn’t just artists using macs for the most part your lying to yourself. How do they repay Adobe? By stabbing them in their flashy backs.

There were of course other issues Apple had that they really took forever to even admit were problems.

Regardless of how I feel though about my dislike of Mac, Steve Jobs is a geek icon and since I’m not a fan of a lot of what he does (and what I am a fan of I have issues with) I love being able to see fun poked at him.

Maybe it’s because I used to be a gamer. (Most of my PC gaming friends will say I’m not anymore at all since I primarily play on consoles these days) but no one who plays on a Mac will ever be taken as a serious gamer. (Windows installs included.)

Let’s face it. The iPhone DID revolutionize smart phones (Thanks! I wouldn’t have an Android phone I love if they hadn’t nor would the majority of smart phone owners) but past that, primarily what they make are expensive toys. iPad’s “can” have business uses but the majority of them? Toys. Don’t get huffy with me if you are about to argue it. The MAJORITY of people who use iPads do not use them for writing. They do not use them for work. They don’t use them for real productivity. (Checking social media doesn’t count unless you are paid to do just that.)

Someday Apple may revolutionize the look of everything out there. As I said I like their styling but I think some things just may be a bit overboard…

(I want to make it clear that I do think that Steve Jobs is a power house in the tech community and a visionary. I don’t necessarily agree with his vision and dislike his company for the most part but the tech industry on the whole wouldn’t be where it is today without the products this man has been able to help create. I hope that he is able to fight off his cancer in a comfortable manner for years to come and have a long and enjoyable life ahead of him.)
