More Complaints About Chicago Drivers
So as the title says it took a long time to get home last night. Apparently at 9:30 an off hour Lockport police officer (who may or may not have been drunk) was driving northbound on i55, somehow flipped his car into the southbound lanes and killed one person while wrecking multiple cars. I got to sit in this mess giving me a bit over an hour and a half drive time to get home. (Fun fact – Even had I left 10 minutes earlier I would have been stuck in this mess. Completely should have stayed out in the ‘burbs later *grins* I’m sure whoever that’s directed to was up until at least midnight anyway so can’t call me a jackass for that one.)
I don’t really care if the officer was drunk or not when this happened it’s just further proof that people have no idea how to drive in Chicago when the winter starts to set in. Oh it snowed a little? Let’s crawl at a snail’s space or speed! No middle ground for us! Even intoxication shouldn’t make THAT seem like a good idea.
So the above picture is from The Chicago Tribune who covered what happened and all I can say on the matter is that it’s a shame that there was a death from someone who clearly wasn’t driving properly…
