Coupon Tweet is a new startup based out of Chicago. Being a local company I am of course fully behind supporting spread the word about them! What can I say I’m biased towards my city. The site takes the Twitter feeds from many major companies and takes anything coupon-related that goes to Twitter. Just like Twitter (and most websites and blogs these days) it goes from most recent deals at the top to older. They have also sorted the deals by adding categories to the site if your looking for specific types of deals instead of just the latest: Apparel, Cell Phones, Computers & Electronics, Tickets, Travel, with a more tab. The more brings you to both categories and stores.
Categories consist of: Automotive, Books & Media, Diamonds & Jewelry, Flowers & Gifts, Food & Wine, Health & Beauty, Home, Garden & Plants, Insurance & Financial, Kids & Babies, Life Services, Sports & Outdoors, and finally Web services.
Stores consist of: Costco, Amazon, BlueBee, Sony, Zazzle, Luxury Link, Famous Footwear, EyeBuyDirect.com, Nike, TomTom, Newegg Mall, and Apple. I’m sure overtimemore will be added to each.
On top of this to add a more communal feel they have added the ability to vote on coupons as well as allowing for them to be easily retweated. They of course have their own Twitter account @CouponTweet which can be followed to have an alternate way to get the latest deals.
On a completely random thought I wonder if they have figured out how to stick affiliate links into their coupons. Now that would be a slick idea if they haven’t implemented it. While it is in a private beta form at the moment you can obtain a beta code by sending an e-mail to the address on the main site.
