Star Wars Costume Shirts.. ..wait what?

In what might be the geekiest T-Shirts I have ever seen… 80stees.com is selling these Star Wars “Costume” shirts. I don’t know if I should be in awe or afraid that these were made.. good job at getting them done but still… I laughed (expect to see one of these in my closet.. never!)

If you’re lost you can look and you will find me.. Time after time

Random classic lyrics today! It’s such a great song and I just heard a recent cover of it by some band Quietdrive (no idea if they are any good.. their cover is though..)

My insurance company apparently won’t total BMW unless the damage is 80% or the car’s value and $13,000 of damage so far. They said it will most likely just be rebuilt with OEM parts and not junked soo.. you have to seriously think that once the bimmer is back it’s probably up for sale to be replaced with a new one. God at least another month with this pos rental. Sadness.

More sad news is that my comic site I read Major Spoilers is officially going down on the 31′st of this month. Now where am I going to find out about new comics since actually buying them in non-graphic novel format is.. ehhh.. not so interesting. Hell the site is what got me into finding out what graphic novels I wanted to buy now too and.. oh wells less to spend money on I suppose.

October is almost done which means just a few days left for putting up horror movies! I foresee a long pause on horror movie updates for a bit, long pause being a week or two *laughs* At any rate to start with by watching this movie the ‘Wicked Little Things” were children.. that were undead. They never fully said if they were ghosts or not but aside from the fact that they had a goal that didn’t involve just brains they felt a lot more like zombies to me than ghosts. At any rate I’m jumping ahead of myself.. movie blurb: Karen, Sarah, and Emma Tunney are all moving to a small town in Pennsylvania where, unknown to them, in 1913, a horrid mine accident trapped dozens of children alive, underground. But there’s a problem. They’re still alive. Short and sweet. The movie was ok.. rental not worth the buy. I actually enjoyed the end but I felt the build up was a bit slow and too long to get to anything good :( (..and to think it’s usually the opposite that’s my complaint.)

Boring Update!

There.. none of you can tell me I haven’t been doing updates at all…

So slow last couple of days.. I spend Saturday after work watching the majority of South Park Season 11. Yes I know thats dull and not exciting in the slightest I apologize. Sunday I was originally planning on gaming all day after work but ended up taking a nap followed by hitting up Bar Louie with Rob and Matt.

3 complaints about no update and thats all you get. HAH! ;) I’ll get a movie review or .. something.. in tomorrow’s.

Ms. Pac Man Ring??

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooook. So. Let’s look past the fact that this is a bad choice for a hand model (I know.. it’s difficult..) How.. awesome(?!) are these? Ok the ghost at least… Granted if I saw a girl wearing these I would be a little concerned but.. seriously.. Ms. Pac Man rings… thats just the best idea ever. We have everything else under the sun Pac Man but rings were evading the general populace until now. I think there now has been.. officially.. one of every type of item out there with Pac Man on it (but wait… what about birth control?! Yes! That’s it! I’ll make millions… I’m going to go register Pac Man birth control right now!) … erm. So yes they run $68 each or $75 for gold vermeil. Not overpriced in the slightest for being video game related and jewelry. Not. At. All. So some store Stars and Infinite Darkness has it for sale.

…. where do people come up with this? how do I keep finding it? why are you looking at it?! We.. may never know.

So give them blood, blood.. Gallons of the stuff.. Give them all that they can drink and it will never be enough

Spending all morning from 8am til 11:45 on the phone with my insurance company as well as getting a piece of shit of a rental left me both late to work and entirely too low on sleep. Score. Work Friday was awesome! .. well at least when I walked in there was a Prez from Sandwich Factory sitting on my desk saying eat me! Speaking of eating…

Mmmm now that looks tasty. At any rate I felt that there was nothing more fitting for seeing Saw 4 than the above lyrics from My Chemical Romance… As we all know that if there is a new Saw movie out… there will be blood. This movie brought forth a new saga in the Saw series has been written.. hell new writers to boot! (It did show…) With the ending concerning Jigsaw at the end of Saw 3 one might wonder how exactly the 4′th one would play out? Well I’ll tell you. Traps? great. Gore? great. Plot? Not bad. “Twist Ending”? Major let down. I really enjoyed the movie on the whole but all I could feel is that the end sequence was entirely rushed. I feel that they were trying to go somewhere with it but that they didn’t properly lay it out at the end. They may have tried to leave it off confusing but unless it all adds up in Saw 5 than it was a jumbled mess. Still worth seeing for the rest of the movie (and getting a better idea of Jigsaw’s true origins…) but… the next one will probably be the deciding factor of the series.

BMW = 0 . Moving Truck = 1

Spent morning reading: DrMcNinja. Wow the humor is so spot on .. of course how can you go wrong with a Ninja.. that’s also a doctor.. drawn like a GI Joe?! Seriously it was a great way to kill the morning.

After the morning comics and workout I watched The Abandoned. I have to say I was very impressed with how the first half of the movie did the scene transitions, I was much less impressed with the lack of good transitions as the movie went on. The basic plot was a woman and her brother being reunited after not knowing eachother for years and finding out that they should have died as children. After this discovery is when the story gets interesting.. followed by wierd. At some point it seems that they just wanted to throw off the wall (and keep in mind this is a horror movie so it’s supposed to be expected to be off the wall) events happening. I was let down at the end of what had started off as a movie that sucked me right in. Unless your looking for a horror movie to rent and are out of other options I’d put this one on the back burner and not really waste the time picking it up.

So… onto the title of today’s blog. Hey check it out not a music lyric for a change.. I figured the utter destruction of my BMW was more worthy of being in the topic for a change. Yes there are these wonderful things called accidents and when they happen with a truck involved generally the car does not survive. No I don’t feel like typing out exactly what happened let’s just say.. ouch my poor car. If it wasn’t dark out you’d have fun filled pictures of the damage right now. After that clearly drinking was in order so I met up with Rex at Bar Louie for an injection of booze. Yay.

Zombie Kitten!

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwe zombie kitten! (Yes.. I randomly stumbled across this and have no idea where it’s from…)

You’re trying hard to remember.. All the beautiful times.. But yer clouded by the bullshit.. All of the time

Spent the morning doing fun filled family stuff which is of absolutely no interest to you~

Started the video game day being disgusted with the fact that I have yet to get the last 2 achievements and now am only one away from adding another live game to the ’200 club’ … wow that sounds lame. I’m going to stop talking about this right now.
So finally Battlestar Galactica is released as a 3/4′th view shooter for Live. Wow. It’s a lot more of a challenge than I thought it would be and while it took a few minutes to adjust to the controls I think I’m going to have a lot of fun fighting through the various missions that are available (now a lot of fun getting the achievements though…)

Speaking of Battlestar there are 2 new trailers out… a new one for the upcoming Razor 1 hour spinoff and a second for next season. So much BSG goodness in one week it’s almost mean considering Razor is still a month away.

At any rate hit the night up at Bar Louie with Rex before everyone else was going to show. You know you are officially a regular when: the cutey waitress comps your first round of drinks and brings them out without having to put an order in. *laughs* Got some grub and relaxing in since no one else was supposed to show until about 10.. of course in strolls Brad and Neil who were supposedly not hanging out last night and followed up with Rob, Giles, Pat, and Beth. After a ‘bit’ of wanting to top Rex’s creation from my office and Brad repeating a few times that Wednesday is the “official” drinking night (… wasn’t it already? ;) ) the majority of the time was spent talking that oh so horrible game Travian. I don’t know how a webgame has become so embedded in daily conversation it’s so wrong.. (of course I say that as I’m sitting here waiting for 2 of my resources to raise just a little bit more before I head away from the computer for a few hours…)

That Silly Rex…

So Rex LOVED the post-it note humor our office did last week….

I predict a fullscale office post-it competition between our 2 offices in the near future! I have to admit I feel a little outdone on the Mario art. His goomba was so much better than our Mario. Click on over right here for the full gallery!

You’re fighting, all the time.. There’s nothing working, nothing gaining.. Just a waste of time

Yea yea.. been a few days.. bite me I’ve been busy/lazy ;)

A few weeks ago I was practically gushing about Stereophonics in one of my blog posts and a few people actually ended up asking me about it. So, all you need to know is that IF you are going to pick up one of their CD’s the one you want to pickup is Gotta Go There To Come Back. I can pretty much listen to it most of the way through with 10/14 tracks that just work. I might have overdone it the last time I commented on it but the CD is good.. specially the first half of it… the one must have track on it though.. and you owe yourself to snag a copy of this one song, “Help Me (She’s Out Of Her Mind).” You really owe it to yourself to snag a copy of that song if nothing else.

Of course.. you do need to keep in mind that I think that I’m mainly obsessing about this song right now since I’ve had the same mix CD in my car for 2 months and am slowly working on a new one. This is obviously one of the tracks on it so sticking out. mmm bias.

Now on to the Season finale of Damages. Holy. Shit. I completely understand how they can make a season 2 now. I 110% completely did not see the show going in that direction. Well… Rob, Neil, and I did briefly but all kind of gave up on it a couple episodes ago and not exactly or to the extent that they did it. I just can’t wait. Wow.

So I took the time to watch The Good Shepherd. It’s a spy movie, it’s a drama, it’s a lot of things. The one thing you HAVE to know about it is that it is an extremely long movie. You NEED to be in a patient slow movie mood to watch this (which is why I haven’t seen it until now. I had no interest in sitting around for that long of a movie until last night after damages.) IF you are in the mood for a slower movie this one is just fascinating. There are a lot of mini-plot twists and the acting from everyone is superb (it’s hard to see Damon be so quiet at times.) With how good the movie is I don’t see the replay value being ‘that’ high just due to the length and slowness of the movie. I actually do want to watch it a second time but that will be awhile off I guarantee it. “Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie and Robert De Niro star in this powerful thriller about the birth of the CIA. Edward Wilson (Damon) believes in America, and will sacrifice everything he loves to protect it. But as one of the covert founders of the CIA, Edward’s youthful idealism is slowly eroded by his growing suspicion of the people around him. Everybody has secrets…but will Edward’s destroy him?
