Mobile Computing Gone Too Far!

Currently only $20 over at Mobilegear you too can find a new way to mount a laptop or put paperwork on your steering wheel to work on the fly! Don’t be caught dead without the ability to type up the license plate of the person who you just slammed into you’ll need that kind of information in court when you try to claim they slammed on their brakes and you weren’t too busy browsing porn via your laptop plugged into a blackberry to notice the light turned red a minute before!

While… understandably this could be useful in a parked car… seriously.. theres a point where this is just rediculous. and I bet.. they sell like hotcakes.

mmm hotcakes.

come on baby leave some change behind

So the quick update.. Wednesday involved the usual sleeping in followed by a quick work out and sending a few packages out. Bioshock was the main focus of the day until Neil got out of work and Rose came over. We hit up some coop Puzzle Fighter at my place than ran over to Bar Louie to meet up with Rex with Rob showing up a few hours later.

Thursday I slept in a bit but not too late. Started the day off by working on my grandfather’s road trip journal a bit until I went over to grandparent’s house. Had lunch over there and worked a bit more on it and ended up coming home after. Chilled for a little bit and went out around 6 to have dinner with Jen. We caught up and as usual are going to try to get together more than once ever couple of months. After dinner?

I needed some relax time so got the gaming in. I did want to actually get some sleep this week for a change so instead of putting in the game I wanted to play.. I opted in for playing some Puzzle Fighter and Rayman: Raving Rabits. Puzzle fighter is just as fun as you’d remember and Rayman is a collection of mini games you need to play in order to advance… well at least in the mode I picked. It’s not ‘bad’ but I wouldn’t buy a sequal of it.

Ice Legos!

The Lego Store is selling these icecube molds that will make you 10 lego shaped bricks of ice per each freeze! For $7.99(and whatever s&h is) you too can make yourself show your geeky lego memories or entertain your kids for fun filled lego ice cubes! … ..

Ok honestly I’m just wondering how long we can have them work as a ‘base’ for some kind of lego building and if done right would ruin the structure as the bricks melted out from the bottom…

mmm mmm lego natural disasters!

So what’s the point then lady? Oh no.. If ya can’t stand to play and lose

So on Sunday I wokeup on almost no sleep from playing Bioshock all night. Work dragged PAINFULLY slow for all 9 and a half hours as all I could think was that I wanted to take a nap. The day was mostly ok but a lot of long calls during it and ended staying half an hour late to work with a complete asshat. Joy ;) After work the original plan was to pickup Rob and Rose and meetup with Rex and Neil in the city… there was no way in hell I was going through with that with the mood I was in from lack of sleep so kind of just blew the whole idea off. Lack of sleep makes me anti-social.. ;) Hit up dinner and a couple of episodes of BSG with Rose so she’s caught up with the series and went home to play Catan til I passed out early. Figured it was safer than Bioshock to get around to sleeping ;) (see: addict)

Monday I woke up rested and feeling good. Worked out and shipped out 3 things I sold on Ebay. At work we were generally slow so I got in 2 episodes of Rescue Me (1 to go to catch up.. 2 as of this week) … WOW what a great season it’s turning out to be. The first few were leaving me .. worried. HILARIOUS though. After work I chilled for a bit since I told Rob I’d give him a ride home.. The entire time I was thinking about one thing and one thing only:

So I beat the first level in Bioshock, my goal really is to only play it every other day to make the game last longer and to get that whole sleep thing in. I know at least one person whose beat it and I’m wanting to just plow through it but I figure taking my time is the way to go. (Let’s see how long that idea lasts… in theory I won’t play it tonight.. of course I’m going out tomorrow night so I won’t play it than either.. we’ll see.) The game is a work of art.. every aspect of the artistic side is just beautifully done… the game play.. the control.. everything works exactly how you would want it to. If ever game was like this I would give up on going out completely and become a hermit. Please quit making such wonderful games. Please.

Motorized Rollerskates?!

So if you want to be as cool as the guy above and have motorized rollerskates.

My favorite quite was concerning how to stop: “In this version, I just put trust in my sense of balance and lifted my foot off the ground while flailing to find a power cable to rip out”

I honestly.. just can’t see the point of these aside from someone being bored and having too much time on their hands. It’s rediculous.

Whose your daddy?

Big Daddy is your daddy! So… as you can probably guess (if your a gamer) Bioshock came in. The bastard step child of System Shock 1 + 2 that almost none of you have ever played has come out. Same general world idea but with the implementation that only a next-gen system can give. I can’t believe when they were pitching the title around to a publisher everyone thought it would be a PC title that ‘may’ only ship 250,000 units at most. The world is set in 1960, the 2 super powers are the United States and Russia.. and the revolutionary behind this city who wanted his own paradise. Things just went a bit wrong when the scientists started messing with humanities genes. The graphics are just unbelievable and the way the world can be interacted with, ‘hacked’, etc is amazing. I don’t trust the guy who’s guiding me through it though. He’s.. too helpful compared to EVERY other person I’ve met so far.. The only other ‘clearheaded’ people I’ve met.. one is insane and runs the place and the other is insane and a doctor whose mutilating his patients. Twisted? I don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.

I’m a little wired at the moment. I may have been up too late playing a certain video game *looks above*… Other things might have happened the last few days.. I may have watched some Battlestar Galactica with Rose who is catching up… I may have packed some items to ship out on ebay… I may have worked.. Everything seems kind of a blur from the game fest I had last night once I got home ;)

GWS – Zombies!

Thanks to Rose for pointing it out to me.. Danielle Corsetto, the artist/writer behind one of my favorite webcomics Girls With Slingshots posted some sketches she did at various conventions… this one I felt was post worthy.. with my love of the comic AND zombies.. how could I pass it up? If she ever puts it up for sale I might need to buy it… I hope not.. I’m so sick of buying things lately ;0

The Jedi Last Supper

While many fanatics consider The Force and the Jedi are real enough of a belief to be a religion.. it might go a bit far to have done this.. ok.. really it hasn’t. I laughed while seeing this I really wish I know where this came from to give them credit because what a great idea for this to have been made ;)

There are many here among us.. who feel that life is but a joke

Busy morning once I finally ended up crawling out of bed (which did take awhile…) Had a shirt for Amtrea + 4 ebay items to ship out. Yay. Followed that up with a trip to the dentist. It’s really odd though walking into the dentist’s office and.. out of the blue you see your grandparents?! Yes.. that’s right.. my grandparents had appointments at the same time. Very … odd.

Left the dentist and Rex had tickets for a sox game but with too much to do and looking like it was going to downpour I had to cancel on it. (That and it wasn’t a cubs game.. *whistles innocently*) Finally get close to home and the sky turned black and the air went still as I was on the final stretch of Janes. A crack of thunder was the needed prelude and was hit with a downpour that was nothing short of fun to drive in. Good times. Since I was almost home anyway and a storm was going I decided it was the perfect time for some shuteye and crashed for a couple hours. I woke up to an e-mail reminding me I messed up on end times for about 30 auctions and have about 20 things to ship out on Saturday. Yay.

Helped my mother with moving stuff around in the basement, felt guilty about buying some Taco Bell after eating so well lately, and ended the night playing the demos of Space Giraffe and Street Trace.. blah is all I need to say about both games. No motivation to buy either. Did get a nifty achievement in Checkers though. Yes I was sad enough to buy the Chess/Checkers/Reversi/some other game pack for my 360. It was like 5 bucks c’mon ;)

Political Humor – Hillary Clinton

So.. Bush is still an easy target to poke fun at but he’s almost out and a new President will be in place. While almost no one can top the ammount of Bush jokes that have come out there is still plenty of blood in the water for people to make fun of.

Take for example.. this..

Love her or hate… you’ll have nonstop fun cracking nuts with Hillary. Regardless of your affiliation (Republican or Democrat) you’ve just found your new favorite kitchen tool!

Work those thighs back into the white house. This might be the reason why Bill never strayed too far. Quite possibly THE toy of the 2008 election – A must for anyone on any side of politics! Her stainless steel thigh teeth will pulverize any nut that stands in her way to the Whitehouse.

Not recommended for people without a sense of humor, Bill or children under 12 years of age.

Plastic and stainless steel. 9″ tall.

Yes this is a real product that you can buy over here! The description lists it perfectly and I can’t think of anything I’d add to it.. the Bill jokes are too easy to insert here.. *sighs*
