Movie night

So last night I jetted out of work right on time so I could go catch Breach. The original plan was to go see The Number 23 but I’ve constantly heard only bad things about it and this lead me to worry I would be wasting fundage on a movie I wouldn’t like. Usually I don’t give into critics and online movie reviewers but I could not find a single one or person who had seen it that tossed it a good word. So I went for the backup movie.. and let me tell you I wasn’t let down.

Which is about the greatest security breach in our country that has been committed so far. It’s the story of the downfall of a man who sold our nation’s security secrets and the man assigned to catch him. I’ll be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect but I am a fan of both Chris Cooper and Ryan Phillipe so I figured it couldn’t be that bad. And I was right. The characters were flushed out to give an idea on how the characters lived in a short time frame. There was a limit they could do on character development however they exceeded my expectations on introducing and ‘getting to know’ the characters. Good times. It’s a thinker but not slow and if your in the mood for some mind candy well worth it.

After that I ended up heading over to a friend’s to watch Revolver.

I was disapointed for a Guy Richie movie but it was still good. It kind of felt like an attempt at Fight Club.. without the Fight Club. I had 3 unanswered questions at the end of the movie all of which I could probably answer in my view but they left it open enough so you couldn’t really decide on the exact outcome. It probably didn’t help that I had a wine buzz going on throughout the entire movie. :)

Skills for Kills Agent… Skills for Kills

Work… argh… breaking up the horrible string of calls with a quicky blog update.

So I saw the movie of Fantastic Four the other day… Aside from the horrible mangling of Dr. Doom’s origin, which was a necesity I suppose, it wasn’t.. that.. bad.. I was entertained… more so then I was expecting. I’m actually kind of *gasp* looking foward to the sequal right now.

Aside from that TV wise I’m 2 discs into Season 4 of 24. mmm season 4 goodness.

That brings us to my latest addiction:

mmm blowing stuff up in crackdown

Yes that’s right.. blowing stuff up in crackdown. Yes Crackdown is quite easily tied with Gears of War as the best game I’ve played on the 360 thats not a live game. I actually think I enjoy it more just as skilling up your character and playing through and just goofing off all seem to be 3 different games. Rex and I met up for dinner on Wednesday and talked eachother into going to Best Buy.. and look at the box… and while looking at the box we ended up walking away from the display.. and before we knew it we were both out of the store.. 60 bucks poorer… looking at the box respectivly at our own houses…

Figuring if we had gone that far we might as well sit down for some co-op action and played for about a bit (translation: 5 and a half hours.) The game is such a blast. I was honestly not a huge fan of the GTA games but taking the formula they were able to properly use it in developing this title. Sadness that I’m at work right now instead of playing… mmmm

I scream in vain.. To anyone who’ll listen.. But everbody’s watchin’ TV

So yesterday was one of those horrible Sundays.. you know.. the ones that happen every week where I need to be at work at 8am. This always seems like such a hastle with the rest of my schedule but for the big bucks we do what we must.. (…wait a sec I’m very underpaid why am I still doing this?) At any rate as work came to a close Neil and myself ended up talking about movies for about an hour. When I ended up getting home I finished up Season 3 of 24. While not as good as Season 1 or 2 I was still addicted the whole way through. Much less of a climax to ending the season compared to the first 2 but I’m still highly looking forward to Season 4, in fact it’s sitting next to me right now.. patiently waiting for work to quiet down enough or my lunch break to get into the start of it.

After that I decided to hang out with Rose since I have neglected most of my friends the past few months… and damn her to hell. She had me watch the first 2 episodes of House. Damn her. Once I’m caught up with 24 and Season 3 of Rescue Me when it comes out next month I’m going to have to pick up the series. It caught my interest from both a thinking and humor standpoints. I could be getting ahead of myself, it was only 2 episodes, but I did quite enjoy it. Good times~

So it begins…

Well… here we go again.

It’s a new chapter in my life. Single once more I have to put that behind me and try to move on. So… how does someone like me decide to move on with their lives? That’s an easy one… make some changes. To start with, online: obviously the blog is being reactivated. My projects are being pushed a bit more, http://www.Amtrea.com is getting more advertising and was shown on Shirt Fiend recently. One of my second projects should be launching shortly as well with a couple being worked on. Also I’ve started the process of organizing all of the poetry I’ve written in the past 7 years. Why is still a good question but we’ll see. Out there in the *shudders* real world… I’ve started working out again, working on saving and making more money then I was. While this might cause further changes in my life it’s time to get back on track.

Recently I’ve become hooked on 24. It’s quite bad. I’ve flown through Season 1 and Season 2. Half way into Season 3 and I can’t stop watching. I have never seen a show that can have a cliffhanger at the end of every episode thats done so well, and on top of that both a plot and character development that fully carries over from one season to the next. It’s like multiple 18 hour movies not multiple seasons. It’s bad. Oh so bad. If you havn’t seen it I highly suggest changing that asap!

Rule #1

Everything is always ok.
